I am in the process of relocating to Liverpool so I can be reached at my current employer's address below.
I am a friendly and easy-going individual, my top priority in life being to follow the philosophy that life is too short to be a negative influence on anyone else's. My interests include listening to an eclectic mix of music, making damn fine cocktails and having a good conversation. I also play the guitar and trumpet and enjoy a game of Chess or Go on occasion. I play poker too, typically Texas Hold 'Em.
While I have had a number of jobs since the age of 16 I am only going into detail on those jobs that gave me the most useful and memorable experiences.
During my time here I have picked up some useful business experience and developed a firm grounding in web development and internet solutions.
* I am always seeking to improve upon my skill-set and am eager to develop my programming ability.
I was trained by the manager in every aspect of a bartender's job from mixology to working the crowd and maintaining the community atmosphere that made The Lansdown such an enjoyable place to visit and work in. Within 3 months of employment I was a trusted member of the team and well-known by the regulars. I was regularly assigned to run the upstairs cocktail bar that was hired out for functions and parties such as the end-of-season parties hosted by the BBC for television shows such as Casualty and Flog It!.
I gained a lot of self-confidence and improved upon my communication, sales and personal skills during my time there. I would have continued my employment but my priorities lay with my studies.
Awarded Lower Second-Class Honours
The degree course I initially applied for was Pathology and Microbiology with a specialisation chosen in final year. I had a good understanding of genetics and so I chose Virology and Immunology, two topics heavily involved in genetic research.
I am still interested in the field of genetics and in particular the study of viruses, however, I opted against continuing my studies to develop my IT skills. My long-term goals include returning to University to study Bioinformatics.
